CD Album<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\nDie dritte regul\u00e4re Platte des Schweizer Beerdigungsorchesters auf Voodoo Rhythm. In gewohntem Down-Tempo interpretieren die DEAD BROTHERS elf Lieder aus verschiedenen Traditionen. Diesmal gibt es unter anderem einen Blues-Stomp („Old pine box“), Swing der 20er Jahre („Greek swing“), eine Arabeske („Mustapha“), ein Shanty, Jazziges, das von Marlene Dietrich popularisierte Friedrich Holl\u00e4nder-St\u00fcck „Wenn ich mir was w\u00fcnschen d\u00fcrfte“ ( hei\u00dft hier „Marlene“) und zum Abschluss eine Hillbilly-Nummer („Fred“) in Angedenken an ein fr\u00fcheres Bandmitglied. Dabei bleibt das Album erstaunlich homogen. Daf\u00fcr verantwortlich ist der DEAD BROTHERS-Sound, instrumentiert mit Trompete, Akkordeon, Banjo, singender S\u00e4ge, Schlagzeug und so weiter und so fort. Dar\u00fcber weben sich die unwiderstehliche Stimme von Dead Alain („Trust in me … you can sleep safe … slowly but surely your sense will cease to resist“ aus dem eing\u00e4ngigsten, fast schon poppigen St\u00fcck „Trust in me“) und das genial-kaputte Organ von Dead Delaney („Time has gone“). „Wunderkammer“ k\u00f6nnte tats\u00e4chlich das „Wei\u00dfe Album“ der Band werden. Es ist definitiv ein H\u00f6hepunkt des noch jungen Musik-Jahres, und nicht nur f\u00fcr Voodoo Rhythm\/DEAD BROTHERS-Aficionados. Neben der neuen Platte und der anstehenden Tour, gab es Ende Februar in Basel auch die Premiere des DEAD BROTHERS-Dokumentar-Films „Death Is Not The End“ (slowboatfilms.com).
